Black Swan
1. Breathe- Michelle Branch
"Bayta said in Toran's ear, "Why doesn't he talk about the Mule? The
Traders never revolted."
Toran shrugged his shoulders."
- Text from chapter18, Fall of the Foundation, in the novel Foundation
& Empire by Isaac Asimov, who dedicated the novel to his father

Second Foundation spies on Terminus provided the First Speaker with
continual updates on people & events that might affect the powerful
flow of psychohistory. From a distance of 50,000 light years & a breathtaking 10 degrees of trend within a psychohistorical model, it was
clear to the First Speaker that a young Foundation girl named Bayta,
or Beta as he called her, would have no significant impact on galactic
history. She would remain an ugly duckling in the irrelevant small degree
backwaters of galactic psychohistory.

Research Park
1. Stare Out Your Window- Boston
UFOtext=
The circle surrounds the most area of any loop with given length. And
so the interior portion of the research park achieved maximum area- a
light forest permeated by trail & stream. As if a pair of sunglasses,
an invisible yet strong lattice of carbon nanotubes formed the curved
walls of the structure, & the precise shape & optical properties were
computer controlled in response to the weather. It was here the
Foundation engineers met with Simona de Valentine to try & convince
her to take a ride in their new spaceship- the Proto Star 1.

Test Pilot
1. Feelin' Satisfied- Boston
UFOtext=
The Foundation engineers on the design team at New Daytona felt
satisfied- sort of. The physics of the gravitic propulsion was new &
not yet fully understood. For long jumps through hyperspace no one
really knew for sure what would happen. And so they needed a test
pilot, someone to take that very first jump into the dangerous
unknown. Simona de Valentine fit the bill.
