Layla stirred her Turkish coffee and said,
"My dear Count, at any moment..." and then she stopped as loud voices
rose up from the streets below.
The Count moved quickly to the balcony, swung open the doors, and
surveyed the crowded nightime street below. Above the background din
he turned and announced to his guests-
" It appears we have yet another austerity riot, do not be alarmed by
the burning effigies."

Astira checked the scene for one second & then scrambled for cover
behind a large pallet of shipping crates. Her heart raced.

"Lady Elliot, Barron Valentine, speaking of the future, where do you
see yourselves- say, ten years from our present date?"
"Perhaps I might return to the Foundation, about 40,000 light years
away." said Layla, looking at Marc.
"As for myself, I am drawn to the Silk Path, about 50,000 light years
away on the eastern side of the galactic nucleus." And he could only
imagine the flow of psychohistory in the mystery of the Far East.....

Astira watched the Black Market Dragon and Miss Change bargain with
traders from the outer clan. Suddenly weapons were drawn and armed
warriors emerged from hiding and overwhelmed the Dragon.
Astira rose, somewhat stunned, to get a closer look. And then she saw
the deadly gleam of a ninja star. In a flash she dropped down & fired
her laser pistol- vaporizing the deadly star.

events appear random in nature? Even worse, the occasional black swan
event can forever change our course in history."
Layla paused to think and then replied
"My dear Count, think of it this way. Picture a mountain covered in
snow. I merely note that conditions are prime for an avalanche. I
admit, timing that avalanche is tricky. Furthermore, that avalanche
might never occur unless that first domino tips over!"

Layla explained herself,
"Look, Marc, I admit I got faked out with the wave 2 call- the
countertrend move has extended to a double three, what I thought
marked the start of a wave 3 waterfall decline I now see as a
deceptive (b) wave."
Marc Valentine looked up into the beautiful blue sky & then into
Layla's liquid eyes,
"I see, so when is this catastrophic wave 3 decline scheduled to begin?"
"Right about now." said Layla, hoping Marc would believe her.
As if on cue Count Bling appeared with a gracious smile....

Later that evening Count Bling escorted the Baron and Lady Elliot
back to his Parisian apartment. As the guests settled in for the
evening a young woman appeared in splendid dress appropriate for a
Turkish princess. The Count explained,
"You see, if I am her Siva she is my Parvati."
